Congratulations to Sudyumna Dahal for his research award

Congratulations to Sudyumna Dahal, our CAMA PhD scholar supervised by Professor Renee Fry-McKibbin, who has been granted the research award for his submitted thesis: Essays on remittances, R&D and macroeconomy.

Sudyumna Dahal is currently a Regional Economist at the UNDP Regional Hub for Asia and the Pacific, covering 36 countries. In this role, he provides advisory support on public finance, macroeconomic issues, nature finance, and human development in the Asia-Pacific countries covered by the Hub. He is one of the lead authors of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Human Development Report 2024.
Previously, he worked at the World Bank in Washington DC, Africa and South Asia. He has authored several flagship reports and has contributed to regional/global knowledge products such as South Asia Economic Focus and Global Economic Prospects of the World Bank.

He has an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS).
