We are thrilled to share some important news and to start the new year on a very positive note. As of January 2, 2024, the Crawford School of Public Policy has officially become a proud member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA). This achievement marks a significant milestone for our school, reflecting our global reputation as a great public policy school and providing substantial opportunities for us to build on this.

Being voted into APSIA is a tremendous accomplishment and serves as a noteworthy reputational marker for the School as we expand our international reach. We are the only Australian member of APSIA.

As a member of APSIA, we join a prestigious global network that fosters collaboration, information exchange, and idea sharing. This affiliation provides us with invaluable opportunities for professional development, knowledge sharing, and enhanced visibility. APSIA also facilitates connections with prospective students and employers, opening up new avenues for recruitment and contributing to the advancement of global understanding, prosperity, peace, and security.

Last week, Professor Janine O’Flynn, Director of Crawford School of Public Policy joined the Annual Meeting of APSIA Deans and Directors, hosted at the Lee Kuan Yew School in Singapore. There, they discussed a range of pressing issues confronting schools from academic freedom, the impact of AI, and geopolitical challenges to strategic planning and how to better link School’s curricula with professional development.

Through APSIA, Crawford School will have new opportunities for collaboration in the region and across the world.
