Program Affiliation: Macro-econometric Models and Methods

Don’s main research interests are in macroeconomics, econometrics and applied economics. Much of his research has been on the business cycle. He also has a keen interest in public policy.

Don is a fellow of the European Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN) and a director of the Macro-econometric Models and Methods program in the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA).

Recently Don was awarded the Thompson Science award for the highest average citation rate for an Australian economist over the decade 1997-2007.
