Congratulations to Thomas Wangi for his research award

Congratulations to Thomas Wangi, our CAMA PhD scholar supervised by Professor Renee Fry-McKibbin, who has been granted the research award for his submitted thesis entitled: Demand for Excess Reserves by Commercial Banks in Papua New Guinea.
Thomas Wangi is a Research Fellow at the National Research Institute in Papua New Guinea. In his current role, he conducts research and provides policy advice to the Government. He authored and coauthored several public policy related papers. Prior to joining the institute in 2015, he was a lecturer at the University of Papua New Guinea. He also coauthored two discussion papers with the Development Policy Centre, Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU. He holds a Master of Economics from James Cook University, Australia and a Bachelor of Economics (with honours) from the University of Papua New Guinea. His research interests include macroeconomic policy, economic development, land economics and policy impact analysis.
