Melbourne Institute Macroeconomic Policy Meetings

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Melbourne Institute Macroeconomic Policy Meetings aim to foster discussion on relevant issues in macroeconomic policy by involving leading scholars conducting research with state-of-the-art theoretical and/or empirical tools.
The 2019 edition of the Meetings will focus on “Macroeconomic Policies in Closed and Open Economies”. The Meeting will feature presentations of scientific papers as well as a panel discussion involving academics and economists working in policy institutions.
Enrique G. Mendoza (University of Pennsylvania) has confirmed his participation.
The Organizing Committee invites submission on the following topics (among others):
- Macroeconomic policy in open economies;
- Policy design after the Great Recession;
- The interactions of monetary and fiscal policies;
- Distributional effects of monetary and fiscal policies;
- Time-varying effects of macroeconomic shocks.
Paper submission procedure. Papers should be submitted no later than April 1, 2019 to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by May 15, 2019.
Expenses. It is expected that participants will cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
Prize. As last year, the workshop will feature a best paper prize in honor of Alejandro Justiniano, who was a keynote speaker for this event in 2017.
